5 Things Halo SHOULD Add
Yo, what’s up, Halo fans! With Infinite finally hitting its stride in Season 5, I’ve been pondering what 343 Industries should add next to keep the momentum going. Welcome back to the channel, and if you’re new here, welcome! I hope you’re having a good day.
Of course, there’s still work to be done on quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. The continued addition of old and new game modes, and the return of classic weapons, are all great, but I want to focus on some other things that might not be on the immediate roadmap. And no, I’m not just going to say “Battle Royale” over and over. While I’d lose my mind if 343 quietly dropped a BR, it seems like either the best-kept secret or, more likely, not something coming anytime soon. So, I won’t waste time saying it’s what should be next, even though it’s a bit of a shame.
So, let’s dive into my top 5 most wanted features for Halo Infinite:
5. Paid Forgers: Forge is amazing! It’s rectifying so much of what’s been holding Infinite back content-wise. With Fortnite’s UFN, we’re seeing entire companies spring up to create content within the game. While Forge isn’t quite as robust, it’s pretty damn good. The talent pool in the Forge community is immense, and I hope 343 can find a way to keep that talent engaged.
I know a lot of Forgers get satisfaction from having their maps and creations featured in playlists, but dreams don’t feed babies or pay bills. My solution? Pay the creators! Incentivize Forgers like Fortnite has. It would help foster continued interest and give a real reason for all the immense talent to keep going.
4. Winner Stays On: This one seems simple. It feels like we had this in older Halo games. I’m not sure when games stopped doing this, but it would be cool if, after a match, lobbies weren’t instantly disbanded, especially when you win. Overwatch has an option to vote to keep the team together, but I think the reverse should happen: after a win, vote to disband. It wouldn’t even need to be a vote, just an opt-out.
Right now, we’ve lost the ability to connect with others. There’s too much unnecessary friction in squadding up. If you’re vibing after a win, keep the team together and keep it rolling!
3. Assassinations: They’re fun, easy to monetize, and great to grind for. They add a small layer of depth because you have to choose whether you want to assassinate someone for style, leaving yourself vulnerable, or just back-smack them quickly. Assassinations are an easy win for 343. They bring money to the game and make everyone happy. Easy as in, maybe not easy to implement, but easy to monetize. I’m all for them.
2. Notable Cosmetics: I’m not just talking about stickers, but something that really rewards your Spartan for accomplishing something. All the Halo games had this, but now we kind of replaced it with battle pass cosmetics. Those are great because they reward you for playing, but I’m talking about notable cosmetics for reaching certain tiers or accomplishing specific things. A special skin to show you’re an Onyx or Diamond player, a unique helmet or visor to show you’re a nasty sniper, a color core that stands out because you’ve earned 50 Nightmare badges – something to highlight something crazy you’ve done in the game.
Maybe if you get 500 or 5,000 ninjas (these are arbitrary numbers), you can put a bandana on your Spartan. Then, when you see a guy with the bandana in-game, you know to be careful because he’s going to try to ninja you! Something to really highlight what you’ve accomplished.
1. Multi-Team: This would be dope! I’ve heard rumors that they’re working on it, but I don’t know when it’s coming. Duels are fun, but combining them with some free-for-all charm would be awesome, especially in a game mode like Last Spartan Standing. If you add duos or multi-team, you could have all these teams competing against each other on big maps. It’s a nice filler gap for a Battle Royale because what is a BR essentially? It’s a big game of multi-team!
You could even do multi-team on arena maps, like 2v2v2v2, just four teams slaying against each other. That’d be dope! Multi-team would be my most requested feature because it would open up so many new game modes and Forge creations. If you’re not going to give us a Battle Royale, please just give us multi-team!
Bonus: Death Mics: I loved death comms in Warzone! Hearing someone say complimentary things (or not) after you kill them was hilarious. I think they should bring them back to Halo, two-way death mics, where the person who got the kill and the person who died can hear each other and have a little banter back and forth. I know it could get toxic, so there should be an option to mute each other, but death mics would be hella dope!
I’d love to hear your top five things you want to see added to Halo Infinite. Leave a comment below! If you made it this far in the video, consider giving me a like. It helps the algorithm push this video further. And if you’re new here, hit that sub button! We just hit 400 subs, and it would mean the world to me if we could get to 500 and then 1,000. Until the next video, peace!
