Meta's New AR Glasses? Orion - Thursday!

Whoa, good morning! It’s Thursday! Wow, it’s already Thursday. I knew the week was rocking, then it just failed on me. We’re 80% done with the week, man. I need another day. I wish I had another day of work so I didn’t have to take care of the kids on the weekend. Man, I’m a scumbag. I don’t… I love my kids, but my kids are getting sick, and now I’m getting sick, and I just need one more day of child-free work, whatever.

Yo, you guys see this thing with Facebook? They actually might be doing some cool stuff. Facebook announced their own version of AR goggles yesterday, which, in my opinion, blows that whole, giant Apple headset out of the water, man. These things are glasses! That’s the form factor you need in these things. You can’t have that whole ‘goofy face contraption’. You need glasses with AR. That’s what Apple should have done and focused on, but no, they had to go full-on, freaking space suit headset.

But yeah, so Facebook’s actually looks pretty cool, and the nice thing about Facebook’s is they tied it into like wrist actions. And I’m not here to justify Facebook, or Meta, as a company, and their moral obligations to society, and all that kind of stuff. The tech they made actually looks dope, and it’s, if I was going to look at any sort of VR/AR thing, it’d be what Facebook released or announced. I think it’s still pretty early in its life cycle, but hopefully they don’t break it, man. Facebook has this weird tendency to break the tech that they own, so hopefully, they figure this one out. But it’s the one AR/VR headset that I’m actually excited about. So, let’s see how that goes.

Anyways, yo, have a great day! Let’s get at it. Peace!

Ai Header Image Prompt: High quality, highly detailed abstract digital art of a futuristic augmented reality concept. Sleek, ethereal lines subtly suggest lightweight glasses frames, with flowing, glowing data streams and holographic overlays emanating into a complex digital space. Dynamic, interconnected energy trails subtly weave through the scene, implying intuitive gestural control without explicit human figures or limbs. A sophisticated color palette of deep blues, vibrant purples, and electric teals, with shimmering light accents. The composition is seamless and cutting-edge, not overtly AI-looking.
