Yo, good morning! It’s Thursday! I was looking at the preview and wondering why I looked so dark. I swear, my phone takes better videos, or maybe I just don’t use the right settings. Anyway, welcome to Thursday! It’s not too chilly out, actually. It was colder when I dropped the kids off, but it got better by the time I got home.

It’s weird, man. I dropped off kids who were, like, wailing, and I came back to a kid who was pleasant, shaking his teacher’s hand and saying good morning. It’s like, in the span of five days, they had a full firmware upgrade! I should go on vacation more often if every time I come back, the kids are nicer. It’s amazing!

Which, I guess, explains why my videos get stuck at, like, 280 views. But in reality, my videos get stuck because they stink. It’s nothing personal. I can accept that they’re not the greatest, but I’m getting better at them. We get better; we keep working at them. One day, they’ll start getting more views, and we’ll be like, ‘Yeah, we’re getting there!’

It’s crazy, right? You always know that everyone talks about ‘pretty people privilege.’ I don’t even know if it’s just about that. You want people in the app; you keep videos and content that are likely to keep people in the app. One of those metrics is people spend more time looking at pretty people. They’re more likely to swipe if they find the other person attractive. It’s a weird thing. It’s not politically correct, but you kind of get it.

Trying to get in the groove of things, making a list of all the little things I want to start knocking off before I get back into my normal routine of just streaming video games at night. I just want to put that video out and get another 280 views on it. Why am I stressing about views today? Normally, I don’t care about views, but ever since I read that TikTok memo thing, I’ve been reflecting on views. I even saw an ad saying if you want more views, make ads. I don’t want to pay for views; that’s pay-to-play. You’ve got to make content that people want to watch. Maybe it’s just a sad reflection that my content still stinks.
