Where's The (Social Media) Party At? - Saturday!

Yo, good morning! It’s Saturday, which means the eventful weekend has begun. Yo, the leaves are changing colors, changing – fall is a beautiful, beautiful season. Apart from it getting colder, it’s beautiful, so beautiful. I actually want to go hiking and take the kids, maybe to a hike or something, just so I could photograph stuff. Who do I think I am, photographing stuff? I’m not even that great of a photographer, but the colors are beautiful, man. Feel like I should embrace them a little bit more.

Anywho, y’all follow what’s going on on social media, man? Anytime Twitter does something, everyone’s like, “We’re leaving Twitter!” And now you have so many Twitter knockoffs – well, not knockoffs, there’s always been knockoffs, but they’re like clones, I guess. So, Bluesky, Nostr, Threads, Mastodon, all big platforms. And right now, you know, Elon’s like, “I’m getting rid of the block button.” The block button didn’t really work to be honest. I’m not a big fan of Elon, but like, the block button was always easy to work around anyways. And now he’s hiding it behind a paywall, which is kind of grimy. Like, why even put it behind a paywall, something so basic?

But you get everyone migrating to these other platforms, and then it’s like, alright. And me being the dumbass that I am, I’m on every platform. I don’t use every platform hard, but I’m on every platform. But it’s always interesting to see just this Exodus. And then I’m always curious to see, is there going to be a breaking point where people will be like, “Yo, this is the new platform!” because we’re going to go where the noise is. That’s ideally just human behavior, right? We want to go where the party is. And right now, the party is still on Twitter because that’s where everyone’s rage-tweeting and killing each other. But I can only imagine it going somewhere else. I’m down for it. I’m not, you know, a hard purist for any single one platform. You just go where the party is.

But it’s crazy how quickly things shift and feel like this political climate we live in, this culture war climate, doesn’t help things. Everyone just wants to go where the tribe is, really. But me, man, I’m a simple person. I’m out here on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter. How simple am I? I don’t know, man. Y’all take it easy, though. It’s Saturday, it’s beautiful. Let’s see if we make go for this little hike or whatever today, we don’t know. But hey, enjoy it!

Ai Header Image Prompt: An intricate, high-quality abstract digital art banner. The composition portrays a dynamic, interconnected network of glowing pathways and fractured, semi-transparent platforms, reminiscent of a vast digital landscape. Swarms of luminous, ethereal particles in warm autumnal hues – deep oranges, fiery reds, golden yellows, and rich browns – flow and migrate across this digital terrain, interspersed with cool electric blues and purples. These light streams subtly converge and diverge, symbolizing communities shifting and seeking new gathering points. Volumetric lighting and atmospheric effects create depth and a sense of movement. The style is highly detailed and painterly digital, avoiding any overtly AI-generated appearance or recognizable human forms. Focus on abstract shapes, light, and color, with no text.
