Gym Time!? - Monday!

Good morning, it’s Monday! Hopefully, you’re seeing this while it’s still Monday. TikTok has been doing some weird stuff with my videos lately, holding them for a couple of days before posting. It’s wild, right? What did I do to anger TikTok of all people? Me, just saying good morning? Wild times.

You know what I realized today? Now is the best time to join a gym. Seriously, October, late October, early November is the sweet spot. You beat the freaking January 1st rush, get into a groove, and then when January 1st rolls around, you’re a gym vet! You’re established, know your way around, and can even help guide the newbies. You’ll be like, “Hey, you need some help?”

Speaking of the gym, I realized I need to start going badly. I am so out of shape right now. I don’t think I’ve felt this out of shape in a long time. What really brought it home was our vacation last week. I asked my wife to take a picture of me while I was in the pool, just back floating. I had a similar picture on my Instagram from like six years ago, and back then, I didn’t look so bad. Everything was still kind of in place, not too baggy, not too loose. Then I saw the picture my wife took, and I was like, “Dude, I ain’t sharing that anywhere! What the hell?” Everything’s just out of place. It’s a mess out there. I might never take my shirt off again.

Yo, I can’t even do 100 push-ups right now, that’s how sad I am. I could probably knock out five before my arms give up. That’s when I realized we’ve got to do something. We’ve got to get back in there. But then my gym raised its rates! I’m paying $45 right now. I’ve got to go talk to them, like, “Why’d you raise my rate from 30 bucks, which I was paying for a good two decades?” It’s greed, man! They’re going to be like, “Well, it’s inflation, sir.” And I understand inflation, but $45 is too much. I’m better off just doing push-ups at home anyway.

You all have got to get in shape too, man. If you’re watching this, use this as your inspiration to go move, go run. My back was sore yesterday. We went golfing, which was nice, but, age, man, it hits you. You’re like, “Where did that come from?” Then you realize you just weren’t doing what you need to do. So hey, get in the gym, get going, get active. Till the next one, peace!
