The Presidential Election Is Getting Annoying - Wednesday!

Yo, good morning! It’s Wednesday, and we’re one week closer to the US elections. I’m so happy for you Americans, but I can’t wait for all of this to be over, man. Following all the rhetoric—left, right, Trump, Harris—back and forth has been so annoying. I’m not here to take sides; whoever you vote for, vote for who you think is going to best serve your community. I have no qualms with you doing what’s best for your families or your communities.

But it’s kind of crazy because, as a Canadian, we get inundated with American news coverage. Obviously, what you guys do affects us up here. It’s insane that now that I don’t have cable or anything like that, all my news sources come from websites and social media, and just algorithms pushing to me what they think will keep me most entertained.

It’s not what’s going to keep me factually informed; it’s what will keep me on their apps longer. And obviously, that’s a lot of rage bait. All I see is the worst of American politics. It feels like you guys have zero real opportunity here to do anything good. It’s just wild that that’s what our society’s come to: the way we think and form opinions is all shaped by these algorithms that are just pushing and hinting at us what we should or want to know. Then everyone calls the other side sheep because they’re getting their own algorithmic feed that’s pushing their beliefs, and all of a sudden, you’ve got two people who hate each other.

It’s crazy; it’s the divided states of the world, really, because this isn’t just an American phenomenon. It’s like this everywhere, even in Canada. I see people in Canada with the hottest takes and the most misinformed opinions, but you realize that they think their side is right because of what information they’re constantly fed about the other side. And they’re fed that because it’s what’s going to keep them clicking longer. Until you realize it’s a class issue anyway.

I don’t want to talk about all that, but it’s on my mind. I wasn’t getting my sleep man because I was too busy playing zombies again late last night. I’ve got to stop. I’ve got to learn how to do all these Easter eggs by myself, learn how to actually do the missions. Right now, all I do is run around shooting zombies for as long as I can, and then my team wants to exfil. I’m like, “Why are we exfilling? Why don’t we just play till we die?” Then I realized when you exfil, you get to leave with goodies and points. So hey…

Anyways, that’s all I’m going to say on American politics. It’s too early in the morning to talk politics with y’all. But hey, hopefully, you guys are staying safe out there, man. I can only imagine what it’s like at ground zero. It’s insane. Till the next one, y’all. Take it easy, peace.

Ai Header Image Prompt: An intricate, high-definition abstract digital art banner. The composition features a dynamic interplay of glowing light streams and fragmented geometric shapes, resembling a complex, slightly chaotic neural network or data flow. Colors transition from deep, electric blues and purples on one side, clashing and merging with vibrant reds and oranges on the other, symbolizing division and the overwhelming nature of information. Subtle digital noise and pixelated distortions are interwoven throughout the streams, suggesting algorithmic influence and misinformation. Sharp focus, volumetric lighting, and a sense of depth. Generative art, cyberpunk aesthetic influence, non-representational, no discernible figures or objects, creating a feeling of modern digital overwhelm and societal fragmentation. High level of detail.
