Yo, good morning! It’s Wednesday. I needed some caffeine to get going today, man. A lot has been happening lately. I’m seeing crazy reactions on BlueSky, Mastodon, and all the platforms not named Twitter. The reactions remind me of what I expected if the opposite political event had happened. People are people. They all have reasons to be mad, just different ones, I guess. But I’m not diving into that Trump stuff today; we’ll save that for another time.

Quick update on what went down over the weekend and on Monday: these guys set up WhatsApp groups and, Peel Police had 4K video of them protesting. Yesterday was Roundup day, straight up. They were just rounding people up. It was hilarious, there was this real estate agent who was like, ‘Yeah, we got to get at these guys,’ and then people found out her WhatsApp number was linked to her business number, which was linked to her LinkedIn profile, which was linked to her real estate profile! She put out a statement saying her phone got hacked because she’s getting trolled. Other guys are getting called out, too. A lot of these guys were in WhatsApp groups plotting mischief. Now, people found out who they are, and they’re calling them up. A lot of these guys are just straight up apologizing, like, ‘We’re sorry, we had nothing to do with this.’ You guys probably saw the video of the one guy who was like, ‘You guys need to be strong!’ Then, two seconds later, he’s like, ‘Your fight for your…’ Bro, that was you in the video telling people to come to the protest! There’s a word for that, but I’m not going to use it here.

Anyway, I feel like everything’s calmed down. Much love to the Peel Police and Brampton leadership, to Patrick Brown and the Police Chief, who decided this was serious enough to shut down. They came down hard and fast, and all this stuff got shut down quick. Much respect for bringing back order to Brampton. Now we can go back to talking about the dumbass things we normally do.

It’s wild. It’s an interesting time to be alive. It’s nice to see the community coming together, even if it was just for a day. Hope you guys are having a safe day out there. It’s a little muggy here. That’s all I got. Till the next one, peace!
