Consistency Beats Intensity - Sunday!

Yo! Sunday evening, everyone. I’m super late today, and I was honestly close to just skipping it. We had a crazy busy Sunday, celebrating my kids’ birthday out by Niagara Falls. I thought it would be dope to do a video there, but with the rain and the kids, it wasn’t happening. All day, it was in the back of my mind that I had to record something. These videos are important to me, mostly because I’ve been doing them for so long and I didn’t want to break the streak.

I was like, ‘Whatever, it’s just a video. Do it tomorrow. It’s not like you have anything earth-shattering to say.’ But it was just weighing on me, so I pulled over in the car and decided to record this regardless. Here’s the thing: when you do anything consistently enough, the day you don’t do it, it weighs on you. If you do your nails daily, the day you’re late doing it, it bothers you. When I used to go to the gym regularly, the days I missed would just weigh on me. Consistency is great because it acts as a reminder.

I remembered a quote Devious Minds posted the other day: ‘Consistency trumps intensity.’ It had a metaphor about how dumping a bunch of water on a rock does nothing, but letting water drip on it eventually creates a hole. That resonated with me.

Of course, you could also just use a really good pressure washer – enough intensity will do it! That breaks the metaphor, but it goes against the whole premise. Still, consistency trumps intensity. I almost skipped it, but the streak meant something to me, so I had to keep it going. Hope you all had a dope day! We’ll be back to regular programming tomorrow. Till the next one, peace!

Ai Header Image Prompt: A high-quality, high-detail abstract digital painting. The central focus is a large, rugged, deep grey rock, stylized with subtle, organic geometric facets. Ethereal, glowing lines of water, rendered in gradients of deep blue and soft teal, persistently flow and weave towards a single point on the rock's surface. At this point of continuous impact, a subtle, soft golden light emanates, hinting at a profound, transformative erosion or a deep, evolving indentation. The background is a gently diffused, misty abstract landscape in muted greens and purples, suggesting depth and a sense of timelessness. The art style blends conceptual digital painting with elements of abstract expressionism, featuring intricate digital textures and subtle light glints. The composition embodies quiet perseverance and the enduring power of consistency. Avoid overtly artificial intelligence aesthetics. No text.
