Student Executed In Edmonton - Sunday!
Good morning, or good afternoon, everyone! I always forget – Sundays we run late. It’s just natural; kids have gotta get to school in the morning, and by the time all that’s done, I’m just like, ‘Look, I don’t want to get going any earlier.’ So, it is what it is. It’s Sunday!
Yo, check this out. When I started this thing, my whole thing was like, just come here, say a few words. You’ve got, like, two minutes to say something and get done. Try to find something positive to talk about, be inspirational and stuff. But some weeks, things are just… down. This has been a rough week, man.
There was another murder yesterday that got published – two crackheads in Edmonton were robbing an apartment, and they killed a security guard. The security guard ended up being an international student, a soul just trying to make a life for himself. Took a freaking shotgun point-blank to the back. It’s all over social media. I’m not going to share it here in this video, but that’s super depressing, man.
Then, earlier this week, right here in Brampton, a few blocks down from where we are, a case of mistaken identity. There was a hit out on the homeowner, but the homeowner left, and the new basement tenants were coming in, headed to work that morning. A car pulls up, comes right up, and point-blank execution, all caught on the freaking security camera. Again, students just trying to make a way for themselves, man.
You’ve got to feel for the community at this point. And it’s not just, like, the Punjabi community; I’m saying, like, the international student community. These guys get the brunt end of life, coming here hoping to make a better life, and now they’ve got to fear being executed because you rent the wrong basement or worry about being executed because you’re doing your job as a security guard. You’re just like, ‘Listen, bro, I’m just… I’m sorry.’ Like, it’s a rough one, man.
I’ll leave you with this funny little story, though. I don’t want to leave it on a negative note. I was with my kid this morning, and he’s like, ‘I want to go watch YouTube.’ I was like, ‘What do you want to watch on YouTube?’ He’s like, ‘I want to ask YouTube and watch…see where kids come from.’ I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He’s like, ‘I just want to, you know, I want to see where babies come from.’ It took me a second, and in my head, I’m like, ‘Nope, we’re not doing that today. Let’s go watch PAW Patrol or something.’ I was like, ‘What the hell, man? You’re not supposed to be wondering about the meaning of life for at least another three, four years!’ And then, when I said that, I was like, ‘Oh Cabo, we watch a video on how to make a jig like no brother, Peppa Pig PAW Patrol and pick you take your pig man.’ That’s it.
Anyways, y’all have a great Sunday, man! Till the next one, peace.
