American Healthcare Seems Broken - Monday!
Yo, good morning! It’s raining today, it is Monday. How are you all doing? You guys been following the UnitedHealthcare CEO thing? This thing’s hilarious. I don’t know if ‘hilarious’ is the right word, because some people are like, “I can’t believe people are–” The one thing is, everyone’s like, “We can’t believe the left are celebrating the death of him,” and it’s not just the left celebrating, man, it’s the right celebrating it too!
I don’t understand American healthcare. I don’t understand how you have to be worried and how you have to, like, get insured and worry about whether or not your life is validated by these insurance companies. That thing’s just wild to me. I know the Canadian healthcare system is in shambles, I don’t disagree with that at all, but private healthcare just does not make sense to me. How much do you guys pay a month? Does it all balance out in the end with what we’re paying in tax? That’s the thing that I don’t get. Why doesn’t America just go to a publicly funded healthcare system? It seems like the rest of the world all agrees that publicly funded healthcare is the way to go.
But this whole UnitedHealthcare CEO getting shot, all the healthcare CEOs taking their freaking bios off their websites and LinkedIn and stuff, thinking they might be the next targets–part of me thinks like, yo! I saw this one meme, they said the thing that really got America’s healthcare system intact was when they realized they could use the guns to fix it, which…weird world that we live in. I don’t know, sometimes I think America is just a parody or like, an Onion article. Makes no sense to me, man. Make it make sense!
I don’t think they’re getting any closer to catching this guy, either. Every time they say, “We’re closing in, the net’s getting smaller,” I feel like they’re just saying that to hope that this guy scurries or makes some sort of move that sets off some kind of alarm that they can, like, double down on and try to find him. But I don’t… I think if you look low, they’re not finding this guy. Apparently, only 50% of American murders actually get solved. That’s an insane stat! 50%! A lot of the other ones, just end up… what they end up doing is, if someone gets found guilty of one murder and they die, they’re like, “Well, he probably did those ones,” and they use it to shut the books.
But I don’t know, man. Someone–was it Bill Burr? Bill Burr had this comment. He’s like, “Why are we sad?” He’s like, “These guys are freaking gangsters!” You know? These big CEOs, these billionaires, they’re profiting off of insider information, insider selling, pricing products at a supermarket up high to us. They’re manipulating us to make their money, and eventually when they get killed by people, it’s… they’re getting killed by their own greed, really. So he’s like, “These guys are freaking gangsters! We don’t mourn when gangsters get killed. Why are we mourning these guys? Let their family be the one sad for them than everyone else. Hey, it’s fair game, I guess. Anyways, I don’t know, man. It’s a wild world. Till the next one, peace!
