House Hunting - Tuesday!
Good morning, it is a wet Tuesday! Holy smokes, can’t believe I made that mistake again. But it is a gloomy Tuesday, man. How are you guys doing? I realize I’m a lot like my mom and dad. I just love looking at houses. I don’t even think we’re going to move anytime soon, but I love looking at houses and what we could possibly have if we were to move out, like, four hours from here, six hours, move somewhere in the countryside. There are some beautiful homes there, man.
Some of my friends just bought a beautiful new house, and then as soon as someone else does, you’re like, ‘Huh, let’s check the market.’ You start going through, and you’re like, ‘Oh man, that’s amazing. Oh man, that’s way out of my price budget.’ But it is what it is, man. I actually love living in Brampton, I’m not going to lie, but Brampton’s got issues. One of my friend’s in-laws’ neighbors got shot up yesterday. My first thought was, like, ‘Yeah, I wonder what they’re going to sell the house for if they’re going to move because that’ll probably bring the house price down a little bit, at least give us room for negotiation.’ But I’m not moving anytime soon, man.
I saw this thing with 50 Cent the other day, and he was talking about how he doesn’t want to ever live in a mansion again; he wants a smaller house. 50 Cent had like, he bought Mike Tyson’s mansion, and he’s just like, ‘Dude, there’s just so much headache that goes with big houses.’ Someone else told me that too. They’re like, ‘Yo, mansions seem nice until you got to do all the upkeep, and you realize just how far everything is from everything else. You’re basically walking, like, 2,000 steps to and from the washroom.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I guess that could get annoying.’
But I don’t know, man. Sometimes you just got to appreciate where you’re at and appreciate that you have a house. So many people can’t afford houses these days. The fact that we have one and we were able to get into the market when we did is amazing. But at the same time, sometimes you just want something a little bit bigger, a little bit roomier, a little bit cozier. Then you realize when you get that, you want to move up a little bit more, and you just keep perpetually paying mortgages your whole life as you keep upgrading. It is what it is, man. Hopefully, you guys are having a dope day. If you guys could live anywhere, pick any place you could live, where would it be? For me, it has to be in the mountains, though. That would be my dream dream house. It ain’t going to happen in this lifetime, but it would be nice if it did. Anyways, till the next one, y’all. Take it easy, peace!
