Tear The System Down? Or Fix It? - Saturday!

Yo, good morning! Hope everyone is having a dope Saturday. All this snow is insane. Thinking about getting my kid out snowboarding to enjoy this powder day.

Been spending a lot of time just re-reading political theology and watching people fight on the internet, had me wondering - Tear The System Down? Or Fix It?

Been thinking about something today, which is always a dangerous thing, I know. There’s two types of people, and both recognize that the system, the government, the entire hierarchy of society itself, is rigged. It’s created and it favors giant corporations who pay lobbyists, who pay politicians, who control what can and can’t happen in this world. Red tie, blue tie, they both recognize that this system is flawed and broken.

The difference I’ve found is that progressives generally feel that the system needs to be torn down and rebuilt because the current system will never be able to serve humanity. Then you have the people on the right who, I think more or less, also agree that the system is completely broken. But what they feel is if they work hard enough, if they keep their nose clean enough, they can get to the top and they can become the controllers of the system and influence change from within. The more optimistic, more naive of them will even suggest that when they get into the system, they’ll be able to change things for the better and make the world that we all want to see. Which obviously probably doesn’t happen nearly as much as they think it can, because by the time you get in and you get through that system, and it rings you out, you’re basically the type of person who doesn’t want to care, who doesn’t want to change that system.

I don’t know where I fall. I flip-flop. I am such a wishy-washy brain-dead mush-brain person when it comes to this stuff because I see the merit in ‘if you can’t beat them, join them,’ because your time here is limited. But I also think I more favor the ‘yo man, if you want to leave an impact, you’ve got to destroy it and build it up again.’ Destroy and rebuild. But at the same time, I just don’t know if that’s realistic.

So, I am stuttering all over the place. Annoying. Anyways, what side of the coin are you guys on? Does the system need to be destroyed and rebuilt, or can it be redeemed? Can it be resolved? Can it be fixed? Let me know. I am going to go shovel. Take it easy, peace!

Ai Header Image Prompt: An intricate, high-quality abstract digital artwork in a sophisticated, detailed style. The composition features a complex, multi-layered 'system' depicted as a network of fragmented geometric structures and glowing, intersecting pathways. One side of the image portrays elements in various states of deconstruction and decay, with jagged breaks, falling debris, and a sense of chaotic dismantlement, rendered in deep, muted tones and corroded textures. Opposing this, the other side shows elements actively rebuilding and reconfiguring, with luminous, fluid lines and coherent new structures emerging, represented by vibrant, flowing light and interconnected energy. In the central space, a dynamic tension is palpable, with oscillating light patterns and interweaving forms that suggest indecision and the constant push-and-pull between destruction and renewal. The art should have a non-symmetrical balance reflecting the ongoing struggle. Volumetric lighting and fine, precise details throughout. The style is distinctly abstract, avoiding any literal representations of humans, limbs, or overly repetitive AI patterns. The overall impression is one of profound societal flux and transformation.
