Did You Know Cloak and Dagger Had a TV Show?! - Friday!

Yo, good morning! It’s Friday, and I just finished binging both seasons of Cloak & Dagger. I don’t typically watch a lot of TV, but when I do, I really commit. I’ll go months without watching anything, and then someone will recommend a show, and suddenly I’m in it for the long haul, watching like seven seasons straight over two or three weeks.

Cloak & Dagger was one of those shows I wouldn’t have known about if it wasn’t for Marvel Rivals. The game brought these characters to my attention—characters I didn’t even know existed. I follow Marvel, but not that deeply. I know the X-Men, all the ’90s cartoon characters, and when I started playing Marvel Rivals and saw Cloak and Dagger as OP healers, someone suggested I watch the show. I was like, “They have a show?” Then I looked it up and found this tween drama on ABC. It’s very similar to Arrow or The Flash, you know, that genre of superhero show made for a younger audience.

At first, I thought it was pretty bad TV. But by episode four of season one, I was hooked. Two weeks later, I’d watched all 20-something episodes, and I was left wondering when season three would drop because I actually like the characters now. So much so that I’ve gone and ordered a bunch of the comics just to catch up. It’s weird, but yo, the show is actually good! If you’re into that tweeny Arrow-esque, Flash style, or even the Marvel shows like Daredevil or Luke Cage, give it a shot. It’s only two seasons, so it might leave you wanting more, but I thought it was pretty good for what it was—I’d put it up there with Luke Cage at least.

Anyways, y’all have a great one! Till the next one, take it easy, peace!

Ai Header Image Prompt: An abstract digital art masterpiece, high quality, highly detailed. A dynamic composition showcasing a profound duality between contrasting energies. On one side, deep, swirling vortexes of cosmic black, deep indigo, and phantom violet, represented by intricate, ethereal dark particle effects and fluid, shadowy tendrils that suggest absorption and void-like depth, subtly outlined by glowing deep purple lines. On the opposing side, brilliant, sharp shards of luminous energy in vibrant whites, electric blues, and golden hues, radiating with intense, intricate light trails and subtle, star-like flares, resembling crystalline forms and piercing energy constructs. These two powerful, abstract forces meet and interweave at the center, creating a complex, vibrant collision of glowing energy streams and fractured light patterns, symbolizing a powerful, symbiotic duality and transformation. The style is fluid, energetic, and highly detailed, avoiding any discernible human figures, faces, or limbs. The overall image is inherently abstract and designed to not appear overtly AI-generated.
