Are Steroids Bad? - Thursday!
What’s good, fam? It’s Thursday! So, is doing steroids wrong? I’m not asking for myself, I’m really just asking for a friend. And honestly, if you know me, I don’t really work out, so doing steroids would probably not do anything for me other than give me something else to consume.
I was talking to a buddy yesterday, and he’s like, ‘Yo man, working out’s hard and all this kind of stuff.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ He’s showing me this music video, and he’s like, ‘Yo man, these guys all got to be freaking on ‘roids!’ Like, yeah, maybe, but if they’re not competing athletically or professionally or anything, is there any harm in it? Like, anabolic steroids work. I had to Google it this morning; I was like, ‘Are anabolic steroids illegal?’ And apparently, they are still considered a controlled substance in Canada, so you need a doctor’s note to get them.
But at the same time, if you’re not playing professional sports, if you are not competing to break records or anything, and you’re just doing them for yourself, is there anything really wrong with them? Like, I can’t think of anything immorally wrong with them, especially at an older age. If you’re above 40, or maybe even above 30—30-year-olds are in bad shape too, man!—but after a certain age, does it even make a difference to just use performance-enhancing drugs to perform better in life, feel better in life? Isn’t that what TRT is for? TRT is not illegal, right?
I don’t know much about this stuff, so I’m hella ignorant. But I’m of the opinion that doing steroids, if you’re not competing, if you’re not trying to beat people or catch an illegal edge against someone in some sort of competition, it’s not bad. It’s just, do what you got to do. Obviously, talk to a doctor, and know what the side effects and all that kind of stuff are. As long as those aren’t hugely detrimental to your life and what you’re trying to do in life, hey, who am I to judge? But what y’all think? Anyways, till the next one, peace!
