Before, you’d just show up and find the best seat, but then COVID hit and suddenly you had to book tickets and choose your seats in advance. It was actually pretty cool.

Now that COVID’s not as big of a concern, the process is still there, which is awesome. But now they charge you a tax for it! This movie ticket surcharge to pre-book your tickets has got to be the sneakiest, worst convenience tax ever. It’s like, ‘We’re giving you the convenience of booking ahead, so here’s two extra dollars on your tickets!’ Dude, this actually helps you too! Now you know exactly how many tickets you’ve sold.

It’s just a weird service. Airlines already gouge us, and movie theaters obviously had a hard time getting people back in the seats. Now you’re penalizing us for buying tickets online ahead of time? This isn’t even a COVID artifact anymore. At this point, it feels like you guys are just trying to stick it to us, which makes no sense! You want butts in seats, man!
