Election Day In Ontario! - Thursday!
Good morning! Welcome to Thursday. It’s election day in Ontario! Who are y’all voting for? It was funny, I posted something that was kind of pro-Conservative on my Instagram, and people were messaging me, like, ‘I’ll never vote for him, never!’ And I was like, ‘Alright man, cool down. I don’t care that much.’ And they’re like, ‘What, are you Doug Ford, bro?’ I was like, ‘Chill, I just freaking posted something! I share for the sake of resharing, man. Just chill, let me be.’
Yeah, it’s election day in Brampton! And you know, it’s 100% election day in Ontario, and we are electing our Premier today. I said this a few weeks ago, and I’m going to say it now: this is going to be such a wash election. The PC party is projected with what, 89 seats? Let’s see where that goes. I’m like, a lot of my social media and like all that stuff, and the people I’m surrounded with are very hard left-leaning people, and then I got a few friends who are very right-leaning people, so I get like bombarded by everyone’s little hot take, if you will.
I just want you to know that this election is pretty nonsensical. Bonnie Crombie ain’t a leader; she doesn’t even have a full roster, a full freaking, how do you say, she doesn’t even have a full bullpen of like characters right now, right? And this is where it’s going to hurt her. Because what’s going to happen is there’s going to legitimately be a low turnout election, and then everyone on the left is going to be like, ‘See, he’s not my Premier! I didn’t vote!’ Like, you know what I mean?
They’re going to be like, ‘You know, the low voter turnout just means that people don’t like him.’ No, man! It means that the status quo is good. When low voter turnout, that’s what I think low voter turnout means is that people are cool with the status quo. They’re kind of giving a pass to who’s in power, saying, ‘Look, we’re not mad enough to get you out, so keep doing what you’re doing.’ And if the other side doesn’t out-vote you, they’re kind of in that same boat. That’s what it means. A lot of people take low voter turnout to mean that people are apathetic. I think it just means like, ‘Hey, keep doing what you’re doing, man!’ That like, they don’t have a fear of their party being replaced, that’s turn that affects low voters.
Anyways, it don’t matter to me if you’re red or blue, vote for who you want, but vote! Remember when Puff Daddy was like, ‘Vote or Die!’ Vote or Die! Damn, Puffy, and then you went oiled up and dry… Hah, that made no sense. Low key though, I’m not mad what Ford’s done for Brampton. I think Brampton’s come out on top in this whole election thing overall, so that’s all I got on that one.
And yeah, I think I jinxed it with the snowman. It is coming down today. Just when you thought it was gone, it’s all back. You guys know where that quote’s from? Or where I’m trying to quote from? My audience is so whack, man! I’m not calling you guys whack, I’m just saying I doubt any of you guys got that reference. Anyways, till the next one, peace!
