Election Day In Canada!

It’s Election Day in Canada! Make sure you go out and vote – or don’t, it doesn’t really matter to me. My wife calls this my Super Bowl because I love politics. I’m not going to lie, as much as I harp on the idea that “it don’t matter, they’re all the same corporate,” I still agree with that. But growing up, I grew up in a really politically active family. All my friends and everyone, like our WhatsApp groups, are going to be going crazy tonight.

This is one of the most polarized elections in a long time. Both teams are evenly matched, both going at it, both telling us that they’re the ones who are going to make a change. And there are very strong opinions. It’s been a lot of chirping back and forth, with people calling each other all sorts of names. To my credit, all the smart people I know are voting Liberal, and all the not-so-smart, but very successful people, are voting Conservative. I’m just joking! Don’t hold it against me, man. It’s a very polarizing election, and I’m sure you guys have all felt this in your own worlds where people have been very intense about it.

No matter who you’re voting for, just go out and vote. I’ve never hid who I’m voting for. I’m voting for Carney this time. Even though I thought Carney would be insane to want this job, the fact that we’re here, I think that the Liberals represent the best of what I’d want to see for the next four years. People ask, “Well, what about the world?” I thought about the last 10. My life has been incrementally improved pretty significantly in the last 10 years. Lots has changed, I’ve made a lot of good progress in life. So, I’m happy with the way things are. I’m not going to lie.

Everyone’s like, “Well, what about crime?” You tell me. You think crime disappears under the Conservatives? It doesn’t. It’s always going to be here. It’s just how they spin it. I ain’t going to hold it against you, no matter how dumb I think you are for voting the way you do. Just get out and vote.

I feel like the way our whole system is developed, you don’t get that same level of one man being able to just sit there and pass whatever bills he wants. There are just way too many checks and balances that have to be done. Like, there is no “I’m signing this and it’s done” type of deal that we see in America. So, I do believe in our political apparatus a little bit more than I see in the US because all I’m seeing in the US is their system collapsing, one check after another check. It’s horrible. They are on the fringe, in my opinion.

But what can I say? I’m up here, and I think voting’s important. I always have. I realize there are times when you feel like what difference does it make? They’re all the same. And I agree there are times when it’s like that. But I think an election that is this big and this close, there’s a little bit of empowerment that can go a long way, even if it’s just to make you feel like you’ve done your part. So do what you got to do, man. Take care of your family, take care of your community, take care of your peoples. That’s all you can do, right?

But honestly, if I’m just being unbiased here, this should be – I think based on everything I’m reading, everyone I’ve talked to, all the insiders, outsiders I know – this should be a pretty significant win for the Liberals. I think Pierre is out after this election, unless people are willing to say, “You know what, we agree Trump was a wild card for you this one.” This is wild because I honestly thought two years ago this election was in the bag. I thought there was no way the Liberals could ever come back. But yo, it’s a 40-point comeback. That’s wild. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that something like that would have even been possible. So that’s crazy, man.

I think Jagmeet’s legacy is going to be an interesting topic after this election because I don’t think he’s going to win his seat, and I think his party is going to get completely decimated. I’ve been critical of Jagmeet in the past, and I’ve been positive of him in the past, wherever I see fit. I feel like I’ve given his praise when it’s due. So we’ll talk about that one a little bit later, man. But who do you guys think? Who do you guys have winning this? Honestly, give me your honest opinion. Who do you think takes it? Do you disagree with anything I’ve said? Obviously, you’re going to disagree with some of the stuff I said, but do you disagree with me thinking that this is going to be a Liberal majority? That’s what I’m interested in knowing. And if so, do you think the polls were rigged? Because I don’t know, man. Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t. Anyways, y’all have a great one. Till the next one. Peace.

Ai Header Image Prompt: High quality, intricate details. An abstract digital art piece, rich in symbolic representation. The composition centers around a luminous, ethereal structure that subtly evokes the concept of a pivotal decision point or a voting mechanism. From this core, two distinct, energetic streams of light and fragmented geometric patterns radiate outwards, clashing and intertwining, symbolizing the polarized nature and dynamic tension of an election. The color palette is dominated by deep reds and whites, with complementary accents of cool blues or oranges, subtly reflecting Canadian political colors. Within the intricate textures and light effects, the ghost of a maple leaf shape is subtly integrated into the overall flow, not as an explicit symbol but as an organic part of the abstract design. The artwork should convey a sense of complex systems and interconnectedness, emphasizing the checks and balances and the flow of collective decisions. The style avoids overt AI-generated realism, leaning into a more artistic, unique interpretation with a sophisticated blend of sharp digital lines and softer, more organic abstract shapes. No discernible human figures, hands, or limbs are present. No text or titles on the image.
