I’ve been wrestling with how I want to structure these videos. On one hand, scripting provides structure and clarity, making editing and publishing easier and cleaner. But someone pointed out that scripting can also make things feel rigid and less authentic. It feels like you lose some of your humanity. I get that. So, I actually scripted this one, but I wasn’t sure if I should go through with it. The whole situation is messed up. But since I’d already invested the time, I figured I’d see how it goes. I wanted to quickly talk about the Fouseytube situation. For those who don’t know, he’s an OG YouTuber. I remember him from a decade ago, popping up in my timeline with folks like 8K and just Rain Lily. He was doing those prank videos – the kind where you mess with people and hope they don’t kick your butt. He then shifted to those ‘human experiment’ videos, which I honestly can’t stand. They set up strangers in crazy scenarios – sexism, racism, some kind of masochism – and film their reactions. If you react ‘correctly’, they pat themselves on the back and say, ‘See, there are still good people in society!’ It’s all very self-congratulatory.

Anyway, that’s what I remember of Fouseytube. He disappeared for a while, and then he was gone until recently. A few weeks ago, maybe a month, he switched to full-time live streaming on Twitch. Then he got banned and moved to Kick, doing these unhinged streams where he wouldn’t sleep, just begging for subs and money. His viewership skyrocketed, which, for someone who craves attention like he does, is just pure poison. It’s dopamine, especially with underlying issues. That couldn’t have been helpful.

This guy’s going crazy. Then, he’s dropping the n-bomb and doing a quick apology. He meets a sex worker at the airport, says he wants to help her, and then minutes later says he just had sex with her. It’s complete lunacy and degeneracy, all feeding into the ‘numbers go up’ mentality. Yesterday, he was at some streamer house, picking fights with 19-year-olds. Later, he called the cops, saying some troll was after him. I don’t know the details, but he was in a complete state of distress.

Part of me can’t tell if this is all an act to get views or if he’s genuinely having some kind of breakdown. If it’s the latter, you’d hope he has people in his life who would step in and help, but it seems like everyone’s just feeding the beast. Even me releasing this video and jumping on the algorithm feels like leeching off his situation for personal gain. And as viewers, the fact that this is what we find entertaining is pretty messed up. Watching this guy get destroyed? It’s weird and insane.

I don’t even know how to wrap this up. It’s just a shitty situation. If it’s an act, it’s a horrible one. If it’s real, it’s the complete progression of reality TV, from Jersey Shore to live-streamed craziness. Apparently, the police took him to a hospital, which hopefully gets him the help he needs. It makes you question platforms like Kick, which seem to be profiting off his struggles without doing anything to help. So, in the end, am I any better for putting this out there?
