What J. Cole Should Have Said - @Realsikh 1 Minute Drill

Alright, let’s dive into this. I want to talk about Real Sikh. I call him “my boy,” even though I’ve never met him and he probably doesn’t even know I exist. He’s one of my virtual boys, you know what I mean? I really hope he remains someone I can hype up. This guy is a battle rapper, and he’s one of my favorite battle rappers right now. I’m not a huge battle rap head, but I enjoy it. I like mainstream battle rap; I like watching King of the Dot highlights when something crazy pops off. I follow a bunch of battle rap stuff. I even learned about Immortal Technique through battle rap videos back in the day. But at the same time, I’m not deeply invested in battle rap culture. I couldn’t name, like, five battle rappers off the top of my head, but I could probably recognize some faces and remember some bars. I’m a very casual battle rap fan.

Real Sikh being, well, sick, I’m a little bit more invested in his bars. Whenever he pops off, I think it’s really cool. Yo, he released this “1 Minute Drill” four days ago. I haven’t seen this yet; this is my first time seeing it. I’m curious what he said. I saw this and I was like, “Yo, I’d rather just comment on this.” Let’s watch this one together. I don’t know if you guys have seen this, but Real Sikh is pretty dope. I like his bars. I know some people might not like the gun bars and stuff, but we’ll see. I feel like… you know what I really like about battle rap? It’s obviously like a roast battle with rhymes. I think the funnier a battle rapper is, the better he is. It used to be that the more vicious and personal a battle rapper could get, the crazier it was.

Battle rappers get so freaking personal and up in a person’s grill. They’re researching every single thing they can. I’m sure when they see hip-hop rappers trying to get personal but pulling their punches, they’re like, “What are you guys doing?” I don’t think battle rappers get enough credit. Obviously, guys like Eminem and Immortal Technique do, but some of these guys have bars. I think the biggest problem with battle rappers is a lot of them aren’t able to evolve into anything more outside of battle rap. Remember “106 and Park” used to have those Friday night battles? That was wild.

I feel that. Yeah, Freestyle Friday! There was that one Asian guy who freaking killed it, Jin. That guy went on like some Jeopardy-level run. You’re not going to get a ghostwriter, but comedians brainstorm with other comedians. I wonder if rappers ever bring in battle rappers to brainstorm disses. Like, “Yo, we got a bullpen of battle rappers ready!” Real Sikh is totally going after the J. Cole thing here, because this was released four days ago, before the Drake/Kendrick stuff really blew up. He spits, “Understand the Rules of Engagement and the standards applied in the game or confused with your favorites. Forget who’s entertaining who, you viewing is dangerous, them scary moves that you making got you losing your greatness.”

I’m saying, this guy would body all three of them (Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick). He won’t be in the big top three because he ain’t selling them albums. But I’ll take any battle rapper over the big three. Asking who the best MC, I knew Sikh’s the answer. I’m the big… I said this before he dropped the bar! I said it before he dropped the bar! “I’m the big three times two; 3 * 2 = 6.” Mind blown. That’s quick math. “That no veteran have yet ready to cast yet, get a legend to rap next, and I have blood leaking from they temple like Aztec sending attacks.” Fight, make more Kings throw up your hands in them Fades. Y’all bringing I feel like I was a battle rapper, you’re trying to cosplay all thing so don’t get in a stage or ring if you ain’t going to swing. I like that “cosplay” is a viable term that everyone knows. The fact that cosplay is now part of mainstream vernacular is pretty cool.

I’m happy that this guy is starting to really pop off. 12,000 views! I like it. He wrote a real sick speaks on his track in at jcole. No offense I ain’t about to watch that. He’s got more of these. Eh, we should watch him just not today. We got to go.

Ai Header Image Prompt: An abstract, high-quality digital art piece depicting the immense power of verbal 'bars' in battle rap. The central focus is a dynamic, energetic force, emanating vibrant, fragmented lines and sharp geometric shapes that symbolize intense lyrical flow and intellectual impact. Swirling around this core are subtle digital glitch effects, luminous neon data streams, and glowing outlines of abstract numerical motifs, particularly hinting at the number '6' and '3x2'. The background incorporates dark, intricate, and geometric patterns reminiscent of ancient Aztec temples, subtly integrated with modern circuit board designs, suggesting a blend of primal power and advanced intellect. The color palette is dominated by deep, atmospheric blacks and purples, accented by striking electric blues, sharp reds, and vibrant neon greens, creating a sense of both intensity and innovation. The overall composition is somewhat abstract, avoiding literal human figures but conveying powerful energy and intellect through stylized forms and light. The lighting is cinematic and dramatic, with sharp contrasts and intricate details, ensuring a high level of detail without appearing overtly AI-generated or focusing on individual, potentially problematic limbs. This image should evoke a sense of a 'mind blown' moment, where words become a tangible, powerful force that shatters conventional boundaries.
