The Fake Animal Rescue Meta - Thursday!
Alright, alright, good morning folks! It’s Thursday, and wouldn’t you know it, I jinxed it. We had a good run, Friday, Monday, Tuesday off, Wednesday… but here we are. Thursday’s back. It is what it is. I’m back to the school drop-off grind. Jello might not like school, but hey, gotta drop you off, gotta learn, ya know? Speaking of learning…
(Horrible segue alert!) I stumbled upon something disturbing yesterday. We all know social media can be a bit fake, content can be lame, and people chase clout in all sorts of ways—even with those generic ‘good morning’ posts. But this is next level.
Apparently, there’s a trend of people staging animal rescues. Seriously. They’re creating these elaborate scenarios and then asking for donations to ‘save more animals.’ That’s got to be one of the most messed-up things I’ve heard in a while. The fake animal rescue meta is wild. I’ve seen the videos, you’ve probably seen them too – those ‘OMG, I can’t believe this!’ type clips. The thing is, a lot of this stuff is staged. Shouldn’t be a surprise, I guess, but it never really crossed my mind.
Apparently, some research went down and found that a large portion of these videos are staged. What’s truly insane is that they’re putting these animals in precarious situations specifically to create these videos! The animals could get seriously hurt or even die! I mean, out of all the things you could do for likes, this has to be the most brain-dead, low-IQ move. It just shows how ruined some people are. Let’s just go back to dancing, people.
Anyway, y’all take it easy. It’s Thursday, one day away from Friday and the weekend. So, whether you’re looking forward to the week ending or just the weekend itself, peace out!
