Panic Attack In The High Sea's - Tuesday!
Tuesday, yo! ✌️
Last morning in paradise and back to work tomorrow. It’s always a little bittersweet, you know?
So, something pretty wild happened yesterday. I had my first ever panic attack, and it just had to be while I was floating around in the ocean. 😅 Talk about inconvenient timing!
Let me break it down. We started the day with snorkeling, which I’ve done plenty of times before. I jumped in, feeling good, ready to explore. But like, five minutes in, BAM! Panic attack. Never had one before in my life. Scariest thing ever, man.
I’m in the water, my fins feel like they’re about to fall off, and I’m struggling to regulate my breathing. Saltwater’s coming in my mouth because I can’t get a solid seal with the mask (thanks, mustache!). I’m trying to stay calm, but my heart rate just skyrockets. I’m in full-blown panic mode.
I’m usually a pretty strong swimmer, can tread water for hours, but I was like, “Yo, I can’t do this!” I started hyperventilating in the water. Luckily, my wife was there and helped pull me out, push me back to safety. One of the guides jumped in and gave me a little float, got me back to the boat. It took me a good 10-15 minutes to regulate myself after that. Seriously shook me up. I ain’t gonna lie; it was frightening. Especially since I love the water and love swimming. Go figure.
After that, we drove around, grabbed some food. Which, by the way, sucked. So, imagine: my last meal after almost dying was that terrible pie. But whatever, we survived.
Anyways, back home today, back to the normal grind tomorrow. Ya’ll have a great day, though! Let’s get it! Peace.
